BIKER GIRLS: BORN TO BE WILD BIG CHIEF ENTERTAINMENT’S “BIKER GIRLS: BORN TO BE WILD” HOSTED BY VICKI GRAY AND SASHA MULLINS GOES BEHIND THE SCENES AT DAYTONA’S ANNUAL BIKE FEST World Premiere Monday, May 10th, 2004 on TLC NEW YORK, NY (December 29, 2003) – All the outrageous sights, deafening sounds and unbridled celebrations that make up “The World’s Largest Motorcycle Event”—Daytona Bike Week are on display in an all-new, one-hour special for TLC, “Biker Girls: Born to be Wild,” from Big Chief Entertainment. “Biker Girls: Born to be Wild” reveals the motorcycle lifestyle as it’s never been seen before—through the eyes of two experienced female bikers from very different backgrounds who share a passion for riding. Hosted by popular motorcycle journalist Sasha Mullins and European racing sensation Vicki Gray, “Biker Girls: Born to be Wild” offers viewers a rare insider’s look at the places and events that have made Daytona’s annual motorcycle rally famous. Among the featured attractions are Orlando Harley-Davidson’s annual Biker Wedding Vow Renewal Ceremony, the world famous Broken Spoke Saloon, the Wall of Death, and stunt riding at Biker’s Paradise. “If you’ve never experienced Daytona’s Bike Week first hand—and even if you have—you won’t want to miss this,” says Big Chief’s vice president of production and development Steven Jon Whritner. “Sasha and Vicki are the sexiest, most knowledgeable tour guides you could ask for. They remind us why so many people are passionate about the motorcycle lifestyle.” Born in Ontario, Canada, but currently calling the Netherlands home, Vicki “RaceGirl” Gray has made her mark on the world famous Grand Prix Assen TT Circuit as one of Europe’s few female motorcycle racers. In 1991, Vicki opened her own motorcycle riding school Pro Rider, located in St. Maarten, Netherlands. She is also the founder of Foundation RaceGirl MotorSport, whose aim is to enhance the skills of licensed motorcycle riders and to encourage female motorcycle riders in MotorSport. Sasha “BikerLady” Mullins is a freelance journalist and author of the new book Bikerlady: Living & Riding Free!, from Kensington/Citadel Press. Sasha is also the founder of Bikerlady, Inc., a full service merchandise and information company dedicated to the female motorcycle rider, passenger and racer. Dubbed “The World’s Largest Motorcycle Event,” Daytona Bike Week has been a Daytona Beach tradition since 1937—the inaugural running of the Daytona 200. In 1961 the famous race—known by locals as the “Handlebar Derby”—moved to the Daytona International Speedway, but the unofficial party that sprang up around it over the years continued to flourish. Today, this annual 10-day long festival lures more than 600,000 motorcycle enthusiasts from around the world. The special was executive produced by Big Chief principals Tim Miller and Steven Jon Whritner, written by Chip Roughton and produced by Miller. Director of photography was Brian O’Carroll. The show’s offline editor was Aaron Vega; Troy Thompson onlined the program. Randy Lee of LimeBeat composed the original soundtrack for the project. Char Serwa was executive producer for TLC. In addition to “Biker Girls: Born to be Wild,” current projects for Big Chief include the hit series “Repo Men: Stealing For A Living,” for TLC. Also coming up is a dating game show for new urban network TV One. Big Chief Entertainment is located at 45 East 20th Street, 2nd Floor, New York, NY 10003.
